What is LSAT and Prep Tips

LSAT stands for law school admission test. If you wish to pursue a law degree here in the USA, then clearing the LSAT is your first stepping stone. LSAT aims at testing you on parameters, such as, reading complex content, logical reasoning capability, and working efficiently in a timed, stressful environment.

LSAT is conducted digitally on a tablet and stylus provided by the LSAC. The exam has four sections, reading comprehension, analytical reasoning, logical reasoning and the fourth section will be one of these three types only. That variable section is not un-scored. There is a writing section too, which gets conducted separately, you can write it on your own time and PC. And the writing section is also un-scored.

The following are the four tips for LSAT prep. 

1 – Get thorough with the test pattern. It will help you understand, test format and question types. When you appear for LSAT, you should find it familiar. 

2 – Practice an adequate number of mock tests that will help you answer the question in LSAT more efficiently and quickly. 


3 – As you are solving sample question papers, you will realize your strong and weak sections. Work on your weak points so that you can answer all questions in LSAT confidently.

4 – Get copies of previous LSATs; you can get them from libraries or online from Amazon. They have questions, along with answers and explanations, which will foster your LSAT prep.
